These terms apply when you use the Gentle Solutions Training platform at gentlesolutionstraining.com. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
In these terms, "we" and "us" mean Gentle Solutions Training, Inc., an Alabama corporation.
You must be at least 18 years old. Our training involves physical technique and is intended for adults working in healthcare and related settings.
Access is by invitation. You will receive an invitation link from a Gentle Solutions trainer or from your employer. Invitation links are personal to you, expire, and can be used once.
Accounts are for one person. Sharing an account, or letting another person take an exam on your behalf, is grounds for us to close your account and revoke any certificate issued.
Before you can access training you must read and sign our Waiver and Training Agreement. That is a separate agreement and it governs the risks of participating in physical training. These terms do not replace or limit it.
Level 1 training costs $25.00 USD per person. Additional levels are priced separately and will be shown before you pay. Prices may change, but the price shown at the time you pay is the price you pay.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your card details. You confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method you provide.
Where an employer, institution, or grant covers part or all of your fee, you may be given a discount code. Codes are issued for a specific purpose, may be limited in number, and may expire. Sharing a code outside its intended group may cause it to be withdrawn.
Unless stated otherwise, buying a level gives you access to that level's materials and exam for your own use, with no expiry date.
You can have a full refund within 14 days of purchase, provided you have not attempted the exam.
Once you have attempted the exam or a certificate has been issued to you, the training has been delivered and the fee is non-refundable.
To request a refund, contact us at info@gentlesolutionstraining.com from the email address on your account. Refunds are returned to the original payment method and normally appear within 5 to 10 business days.
If a payment is refunded or reversed, any certificate issued for that level is revoked and will show as invalid on our verification page.
If your fee was paid by an employer or a grant, any refund is returned to whoever paid it.
If you pass the exam we issue a certificate of completion with a unique certificate number. It records that you completed the Gentle Solutions course at that level on that date. Certificates do not expire.
Anyone holding your certificate number can confirm on our website that it is genuine. That check shows your name, the level, the issue date, and whether it is still valid, and nothing else. This is explained further in our Privacy Policy.
We may revoke a certificate if:
All course content, including the videos, handbooks, exam questions, and the techniques as taught, belongs to Gentle Solutions Training, Inc. You may use them for your own training and reference.
You may not:
Our training is educational. It teaches de-escalation, awareness, and safety techniques intended to reduce risk in the workplace.
It is not a guarantee of safety. No training can guarantee that a violent or unpredictable situation will end safely. Completing this course does not make you responsible for managing violence alone, and it does not replace your employer's policies, your professional judgement, or emergency services.
The techniques taught are for lawful self-protection and the safety of patients and staff. They must not be used for unlawful aggression, punishment, or intimidation.
We do not provide medical, legal, or clinical advice. Always follow your employer's policies and your professional obligations.
We aim to keep the platform available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may need to suspend it for maintenance or for reasons outside our control.
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, and may revoke any certificate obtained through such a breach. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why first.
You may close your account at any time by contacting us. Our Privacy Policy explains what we keep afterwards and why.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the platform or these terms is limited to the amount you paid us for the training in question.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost earnings or lost opportunity.
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Liability relating to participation in physical training is dealt with in the Waiver and Training Agreement.
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If a change is significant we will tell you by email, and continuing to use the platform after that means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of competent jurisdiction within the State of Alabama.
